By accessing or using Byteline (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before registering or using our Platform. If you do not agree, do not use Byteline.

Byteline is available to users of all ages, but those under 16 should obtain parental consent before registering. By using Byteline, you represent that you are legally permitted to do so in your jurisdiction.

You must create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for all activity under your account and agree to keep your credentials confidential. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate an account if you violate these Terms.

All content, features, and functionality within Byteline (including design, text, code, graphics, and logos) are our property or that of our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.

5. User Content

Byteline is designed so that user-generated chats, documents, and highlights are not visible or accessible to Byteline staff, except where technically required to provide the service. You retain all rights to your content.

6. Data Processing and Privacy

Account information and certain usage data may be processed as described in our Privacy Policy. We may share data with third-party LLM providers solely for providing and improving Byteline's services. Our data practices comply with applicable Portuguese and EU (GDPR) law.

7. Third-Party Services

Byteline connects with third-party language models (LLMs) and tools. You acknowledge that the terms and privacy of such services also apply and that Byteline is not liable for third-party practices.

8. Permitted Use

You agree not to use Byteline for unlawful or abusive purposes, including reverse-engineering, security circumvention, or harmful activities. Misuse may result in suspension or termination.

9. Limitation of Liability

Byteline is provided "as is". We strive for availability and accuracy, but make no warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform.

We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify you by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal and applicable EU regulations.
